A couple of rule reminders …

  1. Do not expect full size aircraft to give any indication of their intention to land or take off:

Our current rules state:

Rule 30             Landmead Flying Field is adjacent to an operational landing strip used by light aircraft as indicated in Figure 1 below [please see the rulebook for this figure].  Members must be vigilant at all times, ensuring that all those present are made aware of the presence of full-size aircraft. Full size aircraft may enter their landing approach or take off without warning.

Rule 31             Full-size aircraft must be accorded priority at all times.

Rule 32             Models must be flown clear of any full size aircraft, landed or if necessary ditched.

2. We must not fly over the Western Boundary Hedge.  Do not see this boundary line as a target.  If flying in a westerly direction towards this hedge turn well before you are near it.  Members have been flying over this hedge recently. Disregarding this rule will be seen as a serious breach of the club rules and dealt with under rule 9 of the Constitution, ‘Suspension and Expulsion’.
