North Berks Radio Model Aircraft Society are a club of about 120 members with a flying site  situated between Abingdon and Wantage in Oxfordshire. (A site location drawing is shown on the Membership page.) Aerobatic pilots and scale model pilots abound but sport flying is our more prominent type of activity.  We have members who prefer electric flight  but can sometimes be found flying an IC power model.   Gliders feature on occasions when we have a ‘silent flight day’ and a good few of our members can also be found on the local slopes and one or two more excel at turbine flying. Club nights are held on the first Thursday of each month, when we try to arrange an activity. If possible we will try to invite a guest speaker but we prefer our own membership to demonstrate a particular skill or talk on subjects of general interest to members.

Our flying site has unrestricted access, 24 hours per day and 365 days per year, with car parking very close to the pits.

We are a noise conscious but not noise sensitive site and this enables our members to fly the complete range of model types.

Some of our members take an active part in various fly-ins.

The Society operates a Basic Flying Training Scheme for fixed wing power  only.
