Record Attempt

Dear member,

The N.B.R.M.A.S. are going to join other clubs around the country in trying to make a new record of most models in the air at the same time.

This looks like it will be a fun day for the club. There will also be standard flying before and after the event. There will be more details to follow.

The record will be set using model aircraft of all types and be a mass participation event at BMFA clubs and other flying sites throughout the UK. The attempt will take place on the 15th May 2022 at 12 noon. The record will be for the total number of aircraft in the air at 12 noon on the 15th May 2022 simultaneously across the UK

Participants must hold current BMFA, British Drone Flyers or BMFA Youth Group Membership.

There is no requirement for individual pilots to register with the BMFA in advance.

Members taking part in the attempt at their own club site should ensure they have registered with the Record Attempt Co-ordinator for their club.

Country members, or those wishing to take part as a guest of another club should contact the Record Attempt Co-ordinator at the flying site they would like to take part at, in advance of the record attempt.

For now, we need details of the model you intend to fly. When choosing your model, please bear in mind that the longer the flight time the better. This will make it easier to land the models. Also if you have a drone, this will count as well.
